Hi,

For the record, there is a rule in the GNSO Operating procedures (http://gnso.icann.org/en/council/op-procedures-24jun15-en.pdf) about this, which I believe was a result of a BGC recommendation. Specifically, article 6.1.2(j) of the GNSO OP says:

> No legal or natural person should be a voting member of more than one Group.

My reading of this includes across different constituencies, not just stakeholder groups. In updating the NCUC’s bylaws to conform to the NCSG’s charter and ICANN’s bylaws, this will need to be made clear.

Thanks.

Amr

If there people representing orgs in other constituencies (the revised ‘charter' should also say Stakeholder Group, and perhaps be stronger in language) then this is is a problem. I personally don’t keep track of such cases. If you are able to comb through the members list and identify people in this category that would be exceptionally useful information. We could then reach out to them to discuss solutions.
