I agree that privacy off internet communication is a serious concern.  
Who collects this information, how is it compiled, to what purpose is it 
used, and why would any of this be considered benign?  There must be a 
control system to insure personal privacy.  Those who collect such 
information most certainly intend to use it for personal advantage and 
gain.  The one who's privacy has been invaded has nothing to gain.  If 
someone is watching the chickens in the hen house from the dark, it's 
probably a fox.
