[Ncuc-na] NCUC North America Regional Representative Vacancy

Hello Fellow NCUC North America (NA) members.

 

The Non-Commercial community (NCSG and NCUC) have elections are underway! 

 

For the NCUC, this includes all the regional representatives as well as the
NCUC Chair. Since the bylaws limit the Regional Representative terms, I will
not be running again and I encourage someone from our region to take my
place in this important role.

 

The NCUC bylaws
(https://www.ncuc.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Bylaws-of-the-Noncommercial
-Users-Constituency-20171.pdf) describe the role of the regional rep, but it
comes down to overseeing the operation of the NCUC. The role entails
attending meetings of the executive committee to plan activities and agendas
for in-person meetings, as well as periodic communication with the region.
On a rotating basis, two of the regional reps are funded for each in-person
ICANN meeting. It's a terrific way to get to know more about ICANN.

 

The nomination process is simple - one can self-nominate - but does require
a brief statement of interest, the content of which is described here:

I hope someone from our region can agree to participate as a North America
