Thank you for reaching out to me about this! Please see below my response to your questions:

I can confirm that I am in touch with Farzaneh, and I will be directly involved in the RDRS HRIA session being planned for ICANN83 in addition to collaborating with her on obtaining community support for the draft DNS abuse guidelines that we have been developing in collaboration with Verisign, TuCows, and the CPH DNS Abuse working group. Additionally, I will be directly involved in any sessions on the new gTLD process, having been an active participant in NCSG discussions on this topic and having led the development of the NCSG’s latest contribution to the draft AGB. These activities all represent a continuation of the work in which I have already been actively involved since joining the ICANN community.

To provide additional context on my current situation: until January 2025, my engagement at ICANN - including staff time and travel to meetings - had been supported by my employer, ARTICLE 19, via US government grants. However, due to the recent cuts in foreign assistance implemented by the Trump administration, ARTICLE 19 can no longer guarantee it has the funding to cover my travel to ICANN going forward. This would be the first time I am requesting financial support from the NCSG/ICANN community.
