Hi All,
Firstly, Thanks Benjamin for including me on this thread.
I wanted to start by clarifying my role here. I recently came on-board at PIR, and one of my goals is to help PIR support the NCSG better.
Towards this, PIR intends to continue supporting the NCUC financially. As part of this I am here to engage with you on your needs and providing support for the community however I can, including supporting the Issues Forum, financially.
I have had a few conversations with Benjamin already and I am here to identify what your needs are, but not to co-organize or drive the substantive agenda. Having said that, I remain available as a resource, if and when you need it, and in whatever form you think best. (PS: I think internet fragmentation is a great idea, and one that is going to be pivotal for 2024!)
Please do let me know how best PIR can support the Issues Forum. A well-scoped out agenda and a clear ask is extremely critical for me to champion resources internally. I would also like to add that going forward it would be useful if we could also include light accountability measures to such financial support, i.e. providing some supplementary documentation on the purpose of the support and how it was eventually used.
Always happy to talk through these things further and let me know how I can be of value.
