Thanks, Andrea, for the link to the FY25 CROP materials. I tried to find it on the ICANN.org website but couldn’t. Perhaps b/c it is now a google doc and not on the site.

 

Anyway, we still have this problem that the ICANN public meetings use a different geographic region (https://meetings.icann.org/en/regions) from the outreach. We in the NCUC use the public meetings arrangement for the EC. My opinion is that for the purposes of the CROP, which is mainly utilized to bring regional constituents to the public meetings, GSE should allow for the meeting geographic arrangements for CROP applications. Since ICANN 81 is listed as being in the AP region, then I do not see why we cannot utilize the CROP for applications from that region. The EC may wish to preferentially consider applications from the sub-region, but it should have the freedom to select from the Geographic region of the meeting.
