[NCUC-EC] ICANN78 CROP Travel Opportunity for NCUC Europe Member

Dear NCUC Europe Members, 


While the NCUC EC is waiting for some final approvals, we would like to check your interest in the Community Regional Outreach Program (CROP) for ICANN78 that will take place on 21-26 October 2023 in Hamburg, Germany. This time the CROP program can ensure travel funding for one NCUC member residing in Europe to attend ICANN78 meeting. You can learn more about CROP here. 
Who can apply: Anyone who is a member of NCUC and resides in Europe. 


Conditions The selected candidate should be prepared to:


 Take a lead in organizing an outreach session in close coordination with NCUC EC during ICANN78.
-     Participate in ICANN78 meeting and attend sessions of interest to NCUC. -     Participate in drafting communications during the meeting to the NCUC membership regarding the sessions attended.


-     Participate in a post-meeting membership call to describe the outcomes/activities of the meeting.






How to apply: If you are interested to be considered for CROP funding, make sure to submit your expression of interest to ncuc-ec at lists.ncuc.org and andrea.glandon at icann.org by 23:59 CEST on 24 August 2023. 
What should be included in expression of interest:
Name 
     Email 
     Short explanation of how you have contributed to NCUC activities and policy discussions to date. Short statement explaining why you would like to attend ICANN78 representing the NCUC. Include a mention of which working groups or policy discussions you have been involved with and would like to be involved further. If you have not been involved in policy discussions, which policy discussion(s) you will become involved with. Please provide links to your mailing list contributions and your record of attendance in WG meetings. Short explanation how you plan to stay engaged in NCUC after the ICANN78 meeting.  Confirm that you can obtain visa on time, if visa is needed for your travel. If you do not need a visa, please indicate so. 
Please note that the travel slot is still awaiting final approvals but given the short timeframe we want to make sure that once we get final confirmation, we already have a pre-selected candidate to promptly proceed with all necessary travel arrangements.
