I friend of mine, Stephen Nanayawbotar, messaged me about it, and, after talking with Claudio Lucena, I believe I could fill this vacancy - my problems are mostly with meetings during commercial hours, and he said this is not much of a problem, and most of the work is done through whatsapp and maillists.

For the recent (2023) election, no candidate came forward from the LAC region, and therefore we are now issuing a call for candidates to fill this important role on the EC for the term starting after ICANN Hamburg.
