Dear Officers,

I receive Bruna, your kind forwarded email from my mentor Tracy F.
Hackshaw, member of the NCUC.

I first met Tracy when I was in the Internet Governance Forum 2018 as a
Youth at IGF Fellow from Asia-Pacific. He encourages me with much great advice
and shares this meaningful travel support opportunity with me. As such, I
am interested and had already:

1) Submited my membership application for NCSG NCUC

Understand that the deadline is 12 January for the travel support, could
you kindly send me the application/invitation letter if there is one?

If not, below is my answers to the questions:

Name: Sebastian Hoe Wee Kiat
Departure: Singapore
Arrival: 9 March (as of events dates)

Short statement on why I would like to attend ICANN64 representing NCUC & a
short project/plan of engagement with the activities you plan to
participate and also explaining which working groups/policy discussions are
you planning to be engaged with or wish to enhance your participation

I have to admit, I do not know everything but I like to further contribute
as a Asia-Pacific youth am passionate, moving forward from Youth at IGF Paris
2018, I am passionate to bridge the digital inequality gap, and realize
from my years of working with various intergovernmental, social
organizations, that the public especially in Singapore (if not from a
technical field) is not aware of the importance of ICANN great meaningful
work.

As such I want to champion it to Singapore and Southeast Asia, Asia-Pacific
Region, working with a multistakeholder approach together with various
organizations. I am interested in a working group that can advance policies
especially in area of Non-commercial, many public which utilize the
internet and DNS are not aware or find certain technical matters
complicated and I hope to work with various organization to tackle such
challenges.

My policy discussions includes working with National Youth Council, on
youth related policy that includes digital inequality/internet-technology
related affairs from a youth perspective. As such im interested in
Governmental Advisory Committee role. I am willing to learn and go through
online courses, meetup with mentors, and do additional research on policies
and related matters to achieve collaboration with ICANN meetings in Kobe
while staying engaged throughout.

Most important I want to translate the 'technical' to the public, by
organizing roadshows, events, public seminars/talk/workshops together with
various government/organizations to champion the findings in ICANN
meetings, to make it accessible, transparent and practical to the general
public and inform them on the importance work of ICANN. I look forward to
contribute in this field even after Kobe ends.

Thank you and have a good day. Look forward to hear from you.

Best regards,
Sebastian
