[NCUC-EC] NCSG Policy Committee - CALL for expressions of interest

As agreed in our last meeting in Barcelona, I have also drafted the call
for expressions of Interest to represent NCUC at the NCSG Policy Committee,
as you can read below and here

Dear NCUC,

Our NCSG EC representatives, Farell Folly and Claudio Lucena have served on
2017/2018 NCSG Policy Committee. Now is time for NCUC EC once again
nominate the two NCUC representatives at the NCSG PC. And that can be done
by reappointing Farell and Claudio for another year term or any other
candidates that the EC may seem fit.

Therefore, this is a call for application for NCUC members to apply for
this position for the 2018-2019 Term,  starting after December 2018.

Call for Expressions of interest - NCSG POLICY COMMITTEE

The NCSG Policy Committee, as indicated by the NCSG Charter
<https://gnso.icann.org/sites/default/files/filefield_25801/ncsg-charter-05may11-en.pdf>,
is responsible for (a) discussing and developing substantive policies and
statements issued on behalf of NCSG, (b) organize Policy initiatives on
behalf of NCSG Membership, (c) provide policy research and guidance to NCSG
representatives on the GNSO Council, (d) keep membership informed of GNSO
Council activities, (e) Organize, appoint where appropriate, and track NCSG
participation in GNSO  and other pertinent Working Groups, (f) Organization
and oversight of NCSG participation in any GNSO Council-related tasks,
whether mandated by Bylaws, Council Procedures or Council decisions, (h)
Document methods and procedures used for decision making. Such
documentation is subject to review by the NCSG-EC.

Eligibility:
(a) The person might have considerate knowledge about NCSG, its mission and
values, as well as NCUC.

(b) The person should be willing to work in a large, consensus-oriented
committee;

(c) The person should be involved with NCSG policy work and willing to
collaborate with the Policy Committee Chair;

(d) The person should be able to join teleconferences, as well as have
weekly availability to dedicate to NCSG-PC dedicated mailing list, as well
as help with Policy Comments and positions when needed;

As you gather from the criteria above, it is very important that the
applicants for this position be active members of NCUC, involved with ICANN
and its various working groups and show proven interest in NCUC work and
understand the dynamics of ICANN and groups existing within ICANN.

In case you are interested in the position write a statement of interest
indicating how you fulfill the

criteria mentioned in ICANN bylaws and tell us about your experience at
NCUC and submit to me chair at ncuc.org and cc  maryam.bakoshi at icann.org by 10
December 2018.

Announcement will be before 15 December 2018.
