As noted in my application, I intended to concentrate on the jurisdiction subgroup and geonames, but am also capable of helping anyone get involved in the Whois / GDPR issue as well. Renata and any other EC members who want to make suggestions about where to concentrate our resources in the coming meeting are welcome to weigh in.

Congratulations, you are now a part of NCUC fellowship program and will be going to Abu Dhabi. You have been awarded full travel support (up to 2000 USD each), please arrange your travel soon. Travel policy here: https://www.ncuc.org/get-involved/travel-policy/

Please note that NCUC does not pay per diem and we reimburse you after you have provided us with a blog post after the meeting and after you have carried out your mentor-mentee responsibilities.

we have a fairly liberal rule for fellowship program which is: get involved with training and policy :)  but you need to pay attention to the following:

Claudio should pick an ICANN policy topic that will be discussed during Abu Dhabi and work on it with Milton before Abu Dhabi during Abu Dhabi and write a blog after Abu Dhabi, Milton should help Claudio with working on a topic . Join a working group of your choice and attend their online meetings before ICANN 60. Be in contact with Milton if you have questions.

You should also regularly talk on Skype ( have a couple of meetings before Abu Dhabi).

I suggest you start by having a call, introducing yourselves and see what interests Claudio more.

During ICANN meetings you need to attend all the NCUC related meetings (unless they clash with something you actually are involved with and can contribute to).

I might also ask you to kindly present during NCUC meeting in Abu Dhabi.

Note that if you do not carry out your mentor-mentee responsibilities we will revoke the travel support!


Good luck, so far our experience with NCUC fellowship has been great. I am very hopeful that this will be one of the best groups and we will have very good blog posts to publish on NCUC website and for Claudio to get more active with policy making at ICANN.
