Hi

Back and forth, back and forth….

I’ll send a note to the list.

What I don’t know is how new Councilors, in our case Stefania, are expected to get to annual meetings if the slots have all gone to outgoing Councilors. Rafik says " she will get her seat,” you reply to him “perfect,” but then you tell me there is no extra slot for her. So is the standard deal that constituencies and SGs are expected to use their three non-Council travel slots to get new Councilors to annuals? I don’t recall that we did this before. What if a C/SG has allocated its slots to someone else, like the chair and EC members, so there’s no slot available by the time its Council election is resolved? Or to be more concrete, what if we had not designated Stefi for one of those three, she just wouldn’t come and get seated?

Stefania Milan was originally to travel on a NCUC slot, along with João Carlos Rebello Caribé and Peter Green. However, she is standing for election to the GNSO Council, nominations just closed, and she is unopposed, which means she will win and can travel on a GNSO slot. That frees up the NCUC slot. I will get back to you next week with a new name to fill it.
