> Dear Bill and Milton,
>
> I would like to apply for NCUC travel support to the ICANN 54 meet in Dublin. I was previously a recipient of NCUC support to attend the Buenos Aires meeting but I would like to appeal to the NCUC EC to consider the exceptional circumstances requiring my attendance in two consecutive meetings. I am an active participant and volunteer in the CCWG-Accountability, which will discuss its revised proposal in Dublin after a second round of public comments. As a volunteer, I've no access to travel support from ICANN but I've made efforts to attend all CCWG sessions till now, including at ICANN 52, 53 and the 1st F2F in Istanbul (could not attend the Paris meeting owing to lack of funding). Since the revised proposal was published, my efforts have been directed at generating a discussion in India and the South Asian region on the document. Pursuant to this, I will be leading a briefing session on ICANN Accountability on September 3 in New Delhi. Given the significance of the Dublin meet to the IANA transition and accountability in general, I would like to submit my application for travel support.
>
> In addition, I have also volunteered to coordinate the revision of NCUC bylaws to bring it in line with the NCSG charter -- as well as to scope out the possibility of a larger exercise to update bylaws to reflect the constituency's dynamic character. This ongoing exercise may not culminate in Dublin, but ICANN 54 will provide a valuable platform to gauge the pulse of the community on bylaws changes. I will be briefing the Bylaws team and NCUC on potential changes. This is a volunteer assignment, and I am hopeful that my skills as a lawyer will be useful to the NCUC to help coordinate the long overdue revision.
