sure re: absence. I will add a "justified" if it is ok with you. I did not mean to indicate that you and Roy did somehow misbehaved. Sorry for not indicating it properly. Luckily, this is still a draft and we can amend it.

Re: Africa, no one declared you were null! We were wondering whom we could involve for the future. Carlos only indicated he will certainly not run for elections, and we have no news re: other members.


Maybe actually we can use this opportunity to make clear within our group who is willing to stay.

I said in Istanbul that I am considering running again; Carlos will not. What about the others? No stress, but it might be good to start thinking about it, especially if we are looking for replacements, and might want to use the LA meeting to talk to a few people in person.

Thansk Stephania for the minutes. Two clarifications:

1. Should the minutes not state that I was absent with apologies considering I did send this apology as I was going back home then/
2. On forthcoming elections? Did the meeting declare that I was null and void considering I was absent? Was there some some form of evaluation? And secondly Seun Odejeji has actually been more active than almost all of us from Africa.

as promised, and with some delay, here go my edited minutes.
Please add and amend at need, and send them back to me for publication on the website.
Note that there are info that we want to hide :-): for example, info re NCUC budget, and names of potential candidates to approach for the NCUC elections. I included this info in there for your files only.


Apologies for sending the minutes only now - I just got home from an overly intense conference, which left me with no bandwidth to take care of this, despite my best intentions.


Bill, would you be so kind to send me again the minutes from Singapore? I will take care of posting them online. Thanks!
