[Ec-ncuc] EuroDig outreach

Hi Tapani,

Unfortunately I'm not currently home in the UK to look at the exact
application, but the main topic, as mentioned, was the role of the non
commercial user in a commercialized Internet. Issues included the dominance
of Internet governance modalities and discussions by commercial I.p.
interests and, more recently, government 'security' concerns. The
development from an Internet where commercial activity was prohibited to
one where commercialized content dominates discussion, yet non commercial
use is the predominate online activity, is referenced. The overarching
question to be discussed is who represents the vast majority of Internet
users, those with no commercial intent, in the so called multistakeholder
holder model and whether that representation is sufficient and effective.

Of course, the nice folks at EuroDig will likely merge this topic with
other suggestions. I did volunteer to act as a focal point and moderator -
positions I'm happy to give to others - so that we may be further involved
in the organization of the session.

Just getting in, Happy New Year everyone, but wanted to let folks know

that, not receiving any other suggestions or proposals and getting some

positive feedback, I did submit a proposal to Euro-Dig entitled "The role

of the noncommercial user in a commercialised internet".

Ah, that's great!

What did you put in as main topic, specific issues and description?
