[Ec-ncuc] NCUC charter

Dear all,

Maria just brought to my attention that non EC members will not be able to respond to this thread if EC copied ? although we could use as a communications method individual emails, this creates a slight problems of transparency, which I have been accused of. Brenden is there a way we can create a separate list that we can archive so as members are able to see the discussions for the charter? If not, then we will have to stick to individual emails and provide updates to the list endorsed by this group.

The NCSG charter can be found here:https://community.icann.org/display/gnsononcomstake/NCSG+Charter

The main issues for us is the PC format. As for the membership issue: I have spoken to Robin and we have agreed that potential members will have to fill out the form which can be found here: https://community.icann.org/display/gnsononcomstake/Membership and depending on whether they wish to join only NCUC or NCSG or both, then these forms will have to go through NCUC or NCSG or both.

Hope this helps.

KK

Hi Konstantinos,

Many thanks. I'm familiarising myself with the charter.

Which are the parts of it that need particular attention for re-drafting to make them consistent with the NCSG one? And apologies if - as I suspect - I should know already, but whereabouts is the NCSG charter so we can compare and contrast?

Many thanks, m

I forgot to mention ? when replying please press the ?reply to all? button as Maria, Andrii and Norbert are not in the NCUC EC list.

Thanks

Dear all,

This is the portal we will be using for discussions relating to the charter. As I mentioned, this should not be time consuming and the changes should really be straightforward. I suggest we look at a deadline of a month to sort this out ? I would ideally like to have the vote for the charter before Costa Rica so we can have our charter in place when we arrive in Costa Rica.

I took a crack at it in the word document, which I attach. I also pasted THE ORIGINAL charter without my modifications on the pirate pad ? we need to find a way not to have too many versions of the charter floating around.

The PiratePad version can be found here: http://piratepad.net/1ryRZDWH3s

I am looking forward to your contributions. I would like us to try and sort this out via email, but if need be, I can arrange a telephone meeting.

Thank you all again for your participation and assistance in this.
