The time zone function was enabled when I set the doodle poll. Thanks David for taking the time to join us - I know how inconvenient it is - really appreciate it.

RIght, I had that question too: to what time zone is the doodle set? (hopefully GMT :))

Done.

*grumble* don't like these binary doodle polls, much prefer the version with the 'only if I have to' option. Because I will make a 2am meeting, but you can't make me like it.

Can I ask David and Carlos to please submit your preferences for the doodle poll? So far it looks that either Wednesday or Thursday of next week will work for a meeting. I would like to inform Glen tomorrow and request a telephone bridge!

Thanks

There is more than 6 months left, which means that we will need to have a new Chair elected as the EC won?t be able to continue performing this function. So that would be a good idea!

How much time is left in your term? Shall we link a new chair election to the Charter modification vote?

Subject: [Ec-ncuc] resigning

Dear all,

I have just been offered a job as a policy advisor at ISOC, which I happily accepted. As you can imagine, there is a potential conflict of interest in me continuing performing my duties as Chair as well as my duties in the new post; at the same time, I feel that I won?t be able to represent you in the same way I did for the past year and a half. To this end, I would like to inform you that I am stepping down as a chair of NCUC and I invoke article VII of the existing charter:

VII. Leaving Office
A. An elected representative of the Executive Committee or Policy Committee may submit an email or notice of resignation to the Chair whenever circumstances call for such an action.

B. In the event of resignation of the Chair, the Executive Committee shall within two weeks elect one of its members to serve as interim Chair. If the remaining term of the resigning Chair is greater than six (6) months, a new election shall be organized.

Many thanks for all your support. It has been an honour working with you over the past few years.

KK
