I just phoned the committee about how to get it in their hands. They said they don't accept anything via email (nice, huh?), only fax or snail mail.

So let's fax the letter to the committee. This is the fax number they gave me 202-225-7680

Terrific work on the letter, KK!

Thanks,
Robin

Dear Chairman Smith and Ranking Member Conyers,

You may need to call their offices to get email addresses.

(see e.g., http://newamerica.net/publications/resources/2011/Public_Interest_Letter_Opposing_HR_3261for another similar letter which includes some NCUC members)

Thanks Bill ? the members of the committee are there but there are no contact details and I don?t have the bandwidth to go through them all to find their addresses. There are too many ? does anyone have the address of someone we can send this letter to?

Thanks

KK

PS: perhaps someone in the US can send this letter due to time differences?

Importance: High

Nice. I'm really slammed now and can't play with wording, but you might consider breaking up the one para sentence at the top, adding mention of undermining international support for the US-favored governance model, and noting the letters of opposition from EU etc. Or not.

I'd send it to the committee members. I gave the house comm URL in the skype yesterday, Senate comm will have a page too.

Dear all,

As discussed in yesterday?s policy call, here is a draft of the letter NCUC will send in relation to SOPA and PIPA and I would like to thank Brenden for getting a first crack at this. I am not sure who it should be addressed to and I don?t have the email or any contact as such. Can someone in the US please try to identify who this should be sent to and what is his/her contact details? Also, I don?t know if I should sign it the way I did ? I did it as I think we need to have a name rather than just NCUC.

The letter needs to be sent today as presumably tomorrow PIPA is headed for a mark-up.

Thanks

KK
