Good day All,

I am sincerely honoured by the nomination for the EC Africa position. I
would like to express my appreciation to my colleagues for their support
and secondment, and especially to @EmmanuelOruk for the initial nomination.

After careful consideration, I would like to humbly decline the nomination
for this round. As I have had the privilege of engaging in an active
election for ALAC, I believe it is important to allow space for others to
serve and contribute in this role. Perhaps in the future I may consider
running for this position, but at this time my thoughts are to allow others
to lead.

Importantly, I would also like to acknowledge the excellent work of our
colleague and current EC Africa representative, Ines Hfaiedh. I believe she
continues to represent the community well with dedication, professionalism,
and a progressive approach.

My support remains with Ines during this tenure, and I would like to
formally second her nomination for another term.

Kind regards

Thokozile Miya
