Dear Noncommercials,
As you go into the ICANN meeting in Mumbia, India, you should be aware of a new study about DNS blocking in that country.
Poisoned Wells: Examining the scale of DNS censorship in India<https://dnsblocks.in/>, by Karan Saini, is a survey of the entire visible domain name space across 6 Indian ISPs, producing the largest known list of blocked domains (43,083) and revealing previously undocumented instances of overblocking.
If possible, you should see if the author can briefly present these results at the ICANN meeting. Alas, my teaching duties prevent me from attending.
Cheers,
Dr. Milton L Mueller
