Dear Wisdom,
I would like to express my appreciation to everyone who contributed to
updating the NCUC Operating Procedures, and for all the efforts made to
make our work more effective and streamlined.
Although it may be too late to introduce further modifications at this
stage, I would like to suggest that, in the future, we consider reviewing
or adjusting certain points related to the functioning of Executive
Committee (EC) members within their respective regions or continents. This
could include exploring ways to enhance the productivity of each EC member
in their area and to strengthen collaboration with ICANN’s regional staff
and/or other partners. Additionally, I believe it would be valuable to
discuss and modify how to implement mechanisms that enable EC members to
play a more active role in engaging and involving new members within their
regions.
I am not sure whether such points should be added or mentioned into the
Operating Procedures, or if they can instead be addressed in a dedicated EC
meeting.
I would also like to recommend that, *after ICANN84*, we hold an online
capacity-building session for the new EC. A short 2–3 hour session could
serve as a useful opportunity to refresh our collective knowledge, align
our efforts, and work together to develop a yearly plan for the period
between November 2025 and October 2026. This plan could outline our key
activities and shared objectives, helping us coordinate more effectively
throughout the year. I’m happy to help in organizing this session.
best,
Amine
