Dear NCUC Community,
Greetings to you all.
We have now entered the final phase of the *NCUC Operating Procedures
Review*. Following the Executive Committee’s review of the first Public
Comment (see here the comments that were inserted in that phase
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qJORoUG229UxqC3PkKpxjc7D9PiZdw_ZM-0oSeu4CDk/edit?tab=t.0>
), and in accordance with *Section XV, 12–13* of the Operating Procedures,
we are now proceeding to the *final Public Comment phase* as outlined
in *Section
XV, 14*.
Most of the community’s feedback has been integrated into the current
draft. Each incorporated comment identifies its contributor, allowing
everyone to verify whether the updates reflect the intended input or if
further refinements are needed.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the *Operating
Procedures Review Task Force members* (listed at the end of the
collaborative document) and to the *penholders, Pedro Lana and Namra Naseer*,
for their dedicated work throughout this process.
To participate in this final Public Comment phase, please add your inputs,
suggestions for revisions, or proposed deletions directly in the following
document: NCUC Operating Procedures Review Document
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PRPv-MFLbRskBsvGkn7zoBEhQvZLk9pEZx9yvqzwhi4/edit?usp=sharing>
This phase will remain open for *15 days*, closing on *October 25th at
midnight (UTC)*.
Please ensure that all feedback is accompanied by clear reasoning and,
where possible, suggested alternative wording. At this final stage, general
comments such as “I disagree” or “this can be improved” will not provide
sufficient context for the penholders or the EC to make informed
adjustments. Detailed and well-explained input is essential.
After this phase, a *final public discussion* will take place during
*ICANN84*, tentatively scheduled for *Tuesday, October 28th*, as part of
the *NCSG main meetings day*. The goal is to conclude the final revision
phase (Section XV, 15) and complete the review process during the last
ICANN meeting of 2025.
Warm regards,
*Wisdom Donkor* (CASP+, CISM, CEH Certified)
