Dear NCUC Community,
I am pleased to inform you that the 5-business-day appeal period, as
established under Section XV(17) of the NCUC Operating Procedures, has now
concluded. No appeals were received from members in good standing during
this period.
Accordingly, I hereby confirm that the newly approved NCUC Operating
Procedures have now entered into force.
This marks the conclusion of a robust, inclusive, and community-driven
review process, which included two public comment periods and a final
consultation during ICANN84. The collective input received from the
community, the Operating Procedures Review Task Force (OPRTF), and the
dedicated penholders was instrumental in shaping the final document. We
once again extend our sincere appreciation to everyone involved for their
time, expertise, and collaboration. The NCUC community is now empowered to
require more accountability of its leaders, and we have more
responsibilities.
As per our procedures, future NCUC Executive Committees (including the
recently elected one) retain the ability to initiate further reviews as
needed, ensuring that our Operating Procedures continue to evolve in line
with the needs of our community.
Thank you all for your participation and continued commitment to
strengthening NCUC.
@Andrea, when you have a chance, please update the files in our wiki.
Warm regards,
*Wisdom Donkor* (CASP+, CISM, CEH Certified,)
