Hello All,
I sincerely thank everyone who supported my nomination for a second term as
Chair of the Non-Commercial Users Constituency (NCUC). I am humbled by the
trust you have placed in me and look forward to continuing to serve.
We have made some meaningful progress in strengthening our voice within
ICANN, advocating for non-commercial users’ rights, and enhancing our
internal collaboration and outreach. I am proud of what we have achieved
together within the past few months and deeply grateful to the many members
who have contributed their time, ideas, and energy.
As we move forward, I remain committed to:
- Expand NCUC’s reach by increasing participation across all five
regions and diverse communities.
- Strengthen advocacy for policies that protect digital rights and serve
the public interest.
- Ensure transparency, inclusion, and accountability in our operations
and decision-making processes.
- Empower members by preparing them for leadership roles and encouraging
active involvement in working groups and committees.
- Support mentorship and capacity-building to amplify new voices and
ensure civil society’s perspectives remain strong in ICANN policy processes.
Your continued engagement is essential to our success. Whether you’re a
long-time member or newly involved, I welcome your ideas, questions, and
feedback as we enter into the new term.
On that note, I would like to take this opportunity to strongly add my
support to the nominations of the following candidates, each seeking a
second term in their respective roles:
* 1. Pedro de Perdigão Lana for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC)
Representative2. Amin Hacha for Europe (EU) Representative3. Namra Naseer
for North America (NA) Representative*
These individuals have already demonstrated their deep understanding,
experience, commitment, and capable leadership. I believe they will
continue to be assets to the NCUC as we move into the next phase of our
work.
At the same time, I welcome and appreciate the interest and energy of all
newly nominated candidates. Their willingness to step up and serve is a
testament to the health and vibrancy of our community. I encourage members
to thoughtfully consider each candidate’s vision, experience, and readiness
to contribute meaningfully.
I thank you once again for your continued trust and support. I look forward
to your *vote* in the upcoming election.
