[NCUC-DISCUSS] [NCUC-EC] Topics/Questions for CEO 1:1

Hi Wisdom,

I’m sharing some questions that we could consider raising during the
conversation. I believe it would be valuable to have a two-way dialogue,
where we also update Kurtis on the NCUC’s current projects and future plans
while seeking his insights. Keeping the discussion broad and open-ended
would help us better understand his perspective on these issues.

I also agree with Pedro’s point—it will be interesting to hear his thoughts
on regulations and any potential changes he foresees under the new U.S.
administration that could impact ICANN.

Here are a few questions for consideration:

How do you perceive the role of civil society and non-commercial
stakeholders within ICANN over the next five years, particularly in the
context of ICANN's strategic plan? What initiatives or strategies do you
envision to enhance their engagement and influence in the ICANN ecosystem?

What expectations do you have from the Non-Commercial Users Constituency
(NCUC), and how do you see our role evolving in shaping ICANN policies?

How do you plan to navigate ICANN's operational and fiscal challenges to
ensure the ecosystem continues to thrive and work collaboratively in the
current economic situation?

What steps do you envision ICANN taking to increase awareness and
understanding of new gTLDs among diverse stakeholders, particularly civil
society and smaller organizations, to ensure broader participation and
equitable access in the next application round?
