To put it simply, the accuracy scoping team is tasked by the GNSO Council to assess the enforcement and its efficiency of registration data accuracy in the ICANN contract. The assessment should help the scoping team determines whether work is needed (such as lunching a PDP) to change the current status. You can find more details here: https://community.icann.org/display/AST The scoping team started its weekly meetings in October and is now at the first stage of its work. We currently have 2 assignments: - Provide questions to the ICANN org regarding enforcement and Accuracy Reporting System. - A gap analysis where we're asked to identify what problem(s) / needs are currently not addressed. You can check out the current list of questions we have here . *If you want to add any questions to the list, please let us know.* For the gap analysis, we're expected the answer 4 questions: 1. What is from your perspective the current goal that the existing accuracy requirements and enforcement are trying to meet? 2. How & by whom is it or can it be measured whether these goals are met? 3. Are there any goals that have been overlooked? If yes, please explain what additional goals should be considered in the context of accuracy requirements and why (what problem(s) / needs (s) are these goals expected to address)? 4. How and by whom have these problem(s) / need(s) been documented or how and by whom should it be documented? Please feel free to provide any feedback or input you want us to add to our answers to the questions. Please provide your input before *8 December (UTC23:59)*. Looking forward to your input! Thanks! Here is an interesting meeting I like to encourage you to attend at the on-going IGF2021 *IGF 2021 WS #252 Imagining the Future of International Internet Governance * Links https://igf2021.collectivibe.com/live/150 * 8/12/2021 15:30 IGF 2021 WS #252 Imagining the Future of International Internet Governance Conference Room 6 https://intgovforum.zoom.us/j/82868510110 * Area: (EMERGING AND CROSS-CUTTING) Inclusive IG ecosystems and digital cooperation ) Another question to address touches on how the technical governance of the protocols and procedures that underpin an interconnected Internet relate to the ongoing Internet public policy discourses. Policy questions 1. Digital sovereignty: What is meant by digital sovereignty? What implications does it have for the global nature of the Internet, for Internet governance itself, and the effectiveness of the multistakeholder approach? From an opposite angle, what are the implications of the Internet and digitalisation for national sovereignty? 2. Assessing Internet governance approaches and mechanisms and fostering inclusiveness: What are the main strengths and weaknesses of existing Internet governance approaches and mechanisms? What can be done, and by whom, to foster more inclusive Internet governance at the national, regional and international levels? 3. Governance and cooperation for an evolving Internet: How does Internet governance need to change in order to meet the changing nature and role of the Internet? What tools, mechanisms, and capacity building instruments are needed for stakeholders to effectively cooperate, and engage in Internet governance? 4. Technical Internet governance: How can the technical governance of the Internet (e.g. the development of standards and protocols, and the management of critical resources) take into account the needs and views of all stakeholders? 5. Advancing global digital cooperation: What opportunities are provided by the current focus on digital cooperation resulting from the UN Secretary-General's Roadmap for digital cooperation? What role should the IGF play (and how) in advancing global digital cooperation?
