[NCUC-DISCUSS] NCUC representatives on the NCSG Policy Committee: call for applications

Dear NCUC members,

This is a call for applications to serve as NCUC Representative on the NCSG
Policy Committee (PC). The NCUC has two seats on the PC.

The NCSG Policy Committee is responsible for the following:

Discussion and development of substantive policies and statements issued in
the name of NCSG. This activity will require coordination with the
membership and the Constituencies;

Review all NCSG public comments before their submission;

Organize policy initiatives on behalf of NCSG membership, including PDP
initiatives from the membership;

Provide policy research and guidance to NCSG representatives on the GNSO
Council;

Keep the membership informed of GNSO Council activities;

Organize, appoint where appropriate, and track NCSG participation in GNSO
and other pertinent Working Groups;

Organization and oversight of NCSG participation in any GNSO
Council-related tasks, whether mandated by Bylaws, Council Procedures or
Council decisions;

Document methods and procedures used for decision-making. Such
documentation is subject to review by the NCSG‑EC.

For a full list of responsibilities, please refer to NCSG Charter, section
2.5.

Your application will include (a) your ICANN SOI link, and (b) your
statement of interest for the specific job of NCUC representative on the
PC. The latter should provide details about your general involvement with
NCUC and NCSG, as well as more specific ICANN policy development experience
you may have. It should also strive to relate your experience with the
various tasks that fall upon PC members, as outlined above.

Please send your application by 12 November 2020, 23.59 UTC, to the NCUC
Chair at chair at ncuc.org, with maryam.bakoshi at icann.org and
brenda.brewer at icann.org in cc

After the applications are received, the NCUC EC will deliberate and the
names of the successful applicants will be posted on the NCUC mailing list,
latest on 16 November 2020.
