[NCUC-DISCUSS] NCSG Policy Committee Appointees - Call for Applications

Dear NCUC members,
This is a call for applications to serve as NCUC Representative in the
Policy Committee. NCUC current representatives to the NCSG Policy Committee
are (a) *Farell Folly (eligible to reapply)* and (b) *Claudio Lucena
(eligible to reapply)*;
The NCSG Policy Committee is responsible for:

Discussion and development of substantive policies and statements issued
in the name of the NCSG. This activity will require coordination with the
membership and the Constituencies;

Organize policy initiatives on behalf of NCSG membership, including PDP
initiatives from the membership;

Provide policy research and guidance to NCSG representatives on the GNSO
Council;

Keep membership informed of GNSO Council activities;
-
Organize, appoint where appropriate, and track NCSG participation in
GNSO and other pertinent Working Groups.

Organization and oversight of NCSG participation in any GNSO
Council-related tasks, whether mandated by Bylaws, Council Procedures or
Council decisions.

Document methods and procedures used for decision-making. Such
documentation is subject to review by the NCSG‑EC.

Please apply and express why you want to represent NCUC on NCSG PC. In your
application you should send us (a) Your ICANN SOI link; and (b) Your
Statement of Interest for PC NCUC that should tell us about:
1. Your general activities at NCUC and NCSG (E.g: What have you been active
at, which areas have you helped in, in which policy discussions did you get
involved?)
2. Your experience with policy making at NCUC and NCSG (E.g: Have you
participated in writing public comments or for instance participated in
working groups?).
3. Two things you want to improve the work of policy committee and how do
you propose to do it.
DEADLINE - Please send the application by May 10th to NCUC Chair
chair at ncuc.org and c/c maryam.bakoshi at icann.org
After the applications are received, NCUC EC will deliberate and names of
successful applicants would be posted in NCUC mailing list on May 17th or
as soon as EC concludes deliberation.
