Thank you all and I hope to be able to finish this replacement period with the necessary contributions. It is a first time experience from me, I'm available and I'd be more than happy to hear and consider all your thoughts, comments, concerns and suggestions so we can channel them appropriately.
I share Dorothy's, Collin's and Stephanie's concerns about the importance of a consolidated policy approach whenever possible, considering that the interests of these constituencies are more often than not aligned, but I also think with the correct approach, communication and commitment we can turn this challenge into a valuable opportunity for wider engagement.

The amendments in last bylaws were to update it and solve the inconsistencies. I can understand that many may have concerns or find issues about NCUC PC or Vice-Chair but there was some rationale for them. The bylaws or charter are constitutional documents, they give guidance and principles but don't into go into the specifics and details. The bylaws or charter cannot envision all cases and scenarios but leave implementation to the operating procedures which are there to make things clear and outline how things functions.

This whole discussion would have happened by the time the NCUC charter was being discussed and before it being adopted by us here and then by a Board resolution. 
I am sure many of us (including myself) didn’t carefully read the draft charter, we would have noted issues like PCs or Vice Chair roles. I hope next time we take time to read these types of documents during consultation (or public comment) stage.
The NCUC chair is simply doing her job, implementing our agreed upon charter.
Though i agree that we should only have one PC at SG level (with reps from Constituencies) but i am inclined to see how this opportunity will be used by our members at constituency level, an opportunity to engage in policy work. Then we can judge its effectiveness and act accordingly. I urge those who took the Policy Writing course to consider populating these PCs and use the gained knowledge there as well.

As per the Policy Committe for NPOC, my suggestion will be to let the committee be as long as they can make 10 members, this another opportunities for engagement of members as long as their work can consolidate other committees work.
