Dear Renata,
Thanks for kick starting the process; i have been taken a look at the
trends of IG discussion lately, it looks as if a lot more talking has been
done about capacity building, cyber security, gender and access, outreach
etc but little is been done in showing some of the impact that has been
achieve over the years.

I will be glad if we can take a different approach in identifying some of
the successes and challenges faced over the past few years.

It is much too focused on issues, for instance, rather than first access,
then awareness of being safe online, then how being online can advance
one's personal and business life opportunities, change how services are
delivered, and how citizens are essential change agents in many many
countries, then capacity building.

-mere capacity building is not enough but needs to be improved... and
strengthen

-mere access is not enough but needs to be improved... and made affordable

-content that is meaningful

-inclusion of internet governance in the educational sector... creating the
right environment about the internet requires education. Therefore the is
the needs of citizenship, capacity building and employability and this
requires that a minimum number of national curricula across continents must
make internet governance studies into a core discipline of the educational
systems couple with human rights.

-use of audio transmissions/radio that can provide training and education
in various areas - health care, agriculture, energy etc.

-cyber safety not only for youth and children, but for new users, and
seniors

I think if we focus more attention on calls for real change then the impact
that is hidden within communities over the past few years will begin to
show.

This are just my thoughts.

Cheers,
