Actually that we knew and we started fighting and trying to open discussions even at rir level.

The issue is many sitting to want to even discuss for potential solutions got bogged down. This was something that one of my fellow board members and those who know fiona Asonga we started to talk.

This was used as political campaign to outst people.

Nevertheless this issue is not only Africa it’s in many countries even in Europe and quite a few others.

I think the time is come to demand and talk about the matter and try to escalate or whatever. But to me a solution even a middle ground is needed. Igf, ITU and UN as much as ICANN need to see through.

My two cents.
