[NCUC-DISCUSS] Privacy issues within Fellowship Program

I think it is reasonable to say that ICANN, as an organisation, has no awareness of privacy or why it is important.

Indeed, the recently appointed Chief Data Protection Officer has no background in privacy or data protection. (Seriously.)

And I have noted programmes, such as the global indigenous ambassador programme, have their application form on a Google Form where one can even read all of the candidate's applications, including the candidate's address, if they so desire.

None of this is acceptable Dina, and I would encourage you to write to the CDPO, Daniel Halloran, to document this incident.

We will have more recourses at our disposal from next May when enforcement of GDPR is in effect to take this complaint further, but for now, it is important we can show that we have been repeatedly making ICANN the organisation aware of its failure to protect the personal data that it collects and retains.
