[NCUC-DISCUSS] Privacy issues within Fellowship Program

Hi Seun,

Point 1. Home Addresses. Did you read the original mail? Either your
position is that s/he was deliberately misinforming us or you believe that
they do not know what a home address is?I noted that the person who posted
is involved with EFF and so I assume they know what a home address is and
they know what an email attachment is.

Point 2. The discussion should focus on what the original mail was about.
It was about sharing one's personal data with a group without permission.

Point 3. Did you not read the original mail? Is it really OK to sign on
to be an ICANN fellow and all other fellows get your sensitive personal
details? How is this essential to the programme? This was an email
attachment !? Why would ICANN be treating people in this way? Do they also
rely on data exploitation as a business model?
We do not have to accept everything so we get free tickets to events.
Hopefully we can help improve things.

I am not going to discuss here the implications of your positions for our
continent - hopefully we will soon meet.
Dorothy
