Hi all,
As companies etc are getting ready to comply with GDPR, i am sure you will receive similar emails asking for consent to keep your data.
Instead of asking me to email them if i don’t want my data to be stored/transfered, i would have liked them to say something like: if you don’t respond to this email by x date, that means you are no longer interested in us keeping your data anymore. It would have been much easier than the way they proceed here. Imagine if you don’t see this email by their deadline?
I would like to hear what are your thoughts on this!
Regards,
Arsene

> You will be aware of the EU’s new GDPR regulations, which are coming into force early in the new year. These will affect many businesses and, as ICWE II GmbH has recently restructured its business, I wanted to take this opportunity to write to you to assure you that we will continue to serve you, our events, our clients’ events, our customers, partners and service providers through ICWE GmbH, Leibnizstrasse 32, 10625 Berlin, with its registered seat in Berlin-Charlottenburg, HRB 189296 B. The events and projects, about which we have sent you information and through which we have served you in the past, will continue to be carried out by the team already known to you and with whom you have a strong partner.

> In order to comply with the GDPR regulations, we would like to point out that, in this context, it is intended to transfer relevant data, which may include your name and the name of your organization, together with your postal address, telephone number and e-mail address, if these have been stored in our systems, so that they can be used by ICWE GmbH to inform you about the projects about which it has written to you in the past. Please note, that your data will be not transferred or shared with any unrelated third parties and will only be used in the manner in which it has been used in the past.

> If you do not agree with this, please inform us by return email by December 31, 2017 to data at icwe.net.

> Also, in the future - and after the aforementioned deadline has expired - you will, of course, have the right at any time to object to the use of your data by ICWE GmbH.
