[NCUC-DISCUSS] Does ICANN really foster collaboration?

Hi Hiba

Not in a trade embargo country, but recent events have made Brazil all
too familiar with VPN and alternatives on a daily basis.
However, I would like to just stress your point of thinking about
Adobe alternatives.
At least one major internet governance organization (ISOC) and another
big online community with lots of ICANN participants (Opencon) have
moved on (Zoom, Uberconference and others).

The Software Sustainability Institute (http://www.software.ac.uk/) is
a place where you can find also research on alternatives.

They were partners to LibreGraphicsMeeting.org this year and next year
the meeting will be in Rio de Janeiro.

This is all crowdfunded efforts and nothing to do with ICANN. But
maybe it should. Although, like you, I have no idea how to go about it
and just keep on researching VPNs and filing in dial-out requests when
I can.
