Also, a quick annual reminder: it’s great to have people expressing their enthusiastic support for fellow members.  At the same time, we should remember that the nomination process has just begun (two week window), and we don’t want anyone to feel deterred from nominating themselves or someone else because it seems like there’s already been this big collective endorsement of another candidate.  It’s a fine line…maybe it’d be better to convey a sense more like “xyz is a fine person who’s very qualified for the job” than “xyz has my vote locked up.”  We’d like everyone to feel they have an opportunity to serve in one of the positions, and to have competitive elections!   Just something to bear in mind, however you decide to handle it.
