[NCUC-DISCUSS] Acceptance of nomination for NCUC EC

Thanks to Amr for the nomination and to the massive outpouring of support for this nomination on the list. ;-) Last night throngs of people chanting my name amassed outside my front door demanding that I run. Or it could have been a couple of barking dogs, I am not sure. Anyway, I am willing to run for the North American seat on the Executive Committee.

Looking forward, the NCUC needs to take some important steps toward formalizing its organizational structure in the next cycle.  I think my combination of long-term institutional memory and ideas for where to go next would be helpful in that task.
