[NCUC-DISCUSS] Call for proposals for Travel Support to the Singapore ICANN meeting

The Singapore meeting is in two months, so consistent with the policy announced previously (below), NCUC invites applications for travel support of up to US $2,000 each for up to two persons to participate in the meeting.  Obviously, this will not cover all a traveler’s costs, basically plane fare with some left over for hotel or expenses, but if combined with other resources it will hopefully enable up to two members to come join what should be a very interesting meeting with IANA, accountability, and many other items high on the agenda.  Again, the intention is to facilitate the participation of members who are actively and verifiably engaged in NCUC's work, for example constituency governance, NCUC/NCSG policy discussions, or GNSO Working Groups, and will agree to the terms and conditions outlined below and at http://www.ncuc.org/governance/travel-policy/ (which really should have been put on the website under “Participate" instead of “Governance", but whatever).

Interested parties should send an application addressing the six points below to me ASAP.  When the new EC is installed next week following the conclusion of the election, consideration of travel requests will be our first order of business.  We will try to have decisions announced by the end of next week before people leave for Christmas holidays (if applicable) so the travelers can get started on making arrangements.  Please note that unlike ICANN-supported travel, we generally cannot pay in advance and cannot help with visa applications etc.  This is a shoe-string operation being run by fellow volunteers, so please bear with our constraints.
