[NCUC-DISCUSS] Hot topic session in BA

Thanks again.
The request for information about what was discussed, progress made is general, not just to you. Anyone who was there. First reactions to the Brazil/ICANN news were like a mass rorschach test, we all saw something different, started mapping on different aspirations. But not much was said on lists during the IGF and not many reports since (or I'm missing piles of email?), and progress must have been made.

As a number of relevant folks will be there I think it could be an opportunity to do a side meeting of the coalition/platform/thing about the post-Montevideo/Dilma-Fadi/global initiative/meeting/summit and the coalition/platform/whatever being formed in support. As I've noted elsewhere, we need Wolfgang to invent an acronym for all this, it's too awkward.

Discussions have been intermittent for months, but now the date's approaching and I've suggested to ICANN we need to decide if we're doing this yes or no and if we are how we can leverage it to mobilize CS @ ICANN around the above mentioned thingy as well as internal stuff. There was evidence in Bali of a strengthen appreciation of us pain the rear NC types given the larger topography of CS views on ICANN, and it'd be good to build on that.
