Application For New GNSO Constituency in The NCSG -- PIA-CC

Amr,
The important thing is for us to make it clear that this is a positive thing for ICANN and the diversity of its GNSO CSG rather than a negative thing (NCSG wants to "keep them out"). It is a great thing that a cybercafé organization wants to get involved. It is just that the CSG is doing a political manipulation game. Basically you have the same US and European people running the show there for the last 13 years. Literally, the same small group. They think they should be exempt from opening up to new constituencies, because it allows this small group to stay in control. This is just not right. I hope we can avoid turning this application into a political football. It seems so obvious to me that they belong in CSG - but explaining why they came to us bares the soul of some of the worst aspects of ICANN politics

Thanks for the clarification, Milton. Point taken. I stand corrected.
