Consensus rule is most like the game of one shell in a revolver. Not
that participants are intentionally contrary to reality, but rather;
misinformed, narrow minded, or hold a personal stake. The path well
trodden often leads to a dead end at some point. Diversity, though it
seems to mean confusion, is much more likely to find a better and more
sustainable solution to a current question. In the end, perfection may
not be reached, however it may be more closely approached. I am more
inclined to diversity in rule of order. The rule being flexible enough
to allow for a different path and yet rigidly opposed to authoritarian
mandate. Historically, loosening the bonds on entrepreneurs to build
commerce has greatly improved standards of living around the world. When
entrepreneurs are suppressed by what ever means for the preservation of
a de facto elite, standards of life and health decline.
Just my opinion.
