Hello everyone,

Thanks for nominating and I am really honored to run for election for a
second term to continue work in GNSO council and to represent non-commercial
interests :)

I accept the nomination and you will find below my statement of interest,
keeping it short and going straight to the point . I will be glad to answer
any further question:

·      Name, declared region of residence, gender and employment;

·      Any conflicts of interest;

no conflicts of interest. neither my work nor my research are related to
ICANN policy. I am involved as individual (thanks to NCUC for that)

·      Reasons for willingness to take on the tasks of the particular
position;

Having interdisciplinary experience and background with active participation
in Internet Governance community.  Representing developing countries and
continuing to bringing development issues to GNSO council like for new gTLD
program making it more inclusive or working on issues related to the
internationalization of domain names .

 I do believe that domain name space need more advocacy on human rights,
freedom of expression and privacy especially for non-commercial users either
individuals or organizations who represent an important part of registrants
and their voice must be heard.

·      Qualifications for the position;
Before being in GNSO council, I started to participate in several working
groups to represent NCSG.
Currently, I am co-chairing and acting as GNSO liaison (and advocating
within the council ) for the joint New gTLD Applicant Support Working Group*
 *which was launched by GNSO after a resolved ICANN board motion in Kenya in
response to the meeting between NCUC and ICANN board (hopefully the final
report will be released the next days). I am also participation in several
working group related to IDN and the internationalization of domain names
issues like the JIG (joint IDN Working group) and IRD (Internationalized
Registration Data). I also participated at the OSC (operating steering
committee)Constituency/Stakeholder  Group Work team with focus to
work concretely on recommendations for global outreach especially to bring
more participants from developing countries. I am also participant at the
Joint DNS Security and Stability Analysis Working group.  I am also in the
NCSG Executive and Policy Committee.

 ·      Statement of availability for the time the position requires.
During my current term in GNSO council, I participate  actively in
face-to-face and conference calls for GNSO council,in addition to several
working groups and mailing lists discussion and I will continue doing that
in next term.

in addition to that there is a summarized bio:

Young Tunisian currently doing PhD at the Graduate School of
Interdisciplinary Information Studies, at the University of Tokyo, with
focus on Ubiquitous computing ,wireless sensor network and Internet of
Things. I hold a degree in Computer Engineering ans Msc on applied computer
science. I worked before as computer engineer at STMicroelectronics. I am
also a DiploFoundation alumnae after completion of the Internet Governance
Capacity Building program and participating in training about e-voting.
I participated in the online WIPO course on Intellectual Property. I am a
former Creative Commons Tunisian license project  Public co-leader. I am
involved in the youth participation at Internet Governance Forum and in the
organization of youth workshops, the coordination of Youth Coalition on
Internet Governance (ycig.org )and attended as a youth representative.

I am also member of the steering committee for the Dynamic Coalition on
Internet Rights and Principles. I have been involved in ICANN community as
NCUC individual user member and currently a GNSO Councillor for the
Non-Commercial Stakeholder Group and participating in several working
groups. I attended IGF Rio de Janeiro, Hyderabad, Sharm elCheikh and
Vilnius. I participated at the first Summer School on Internet Governance
held in Meissen Germany.
I speak Arabic, French, English and survival-kit Japanese.
