Hi,

I have now compiled a list of active members:

https://community.icann.org/display/gnsononcomstake/Active+Members+as+of+21+July+2011

and of inactive members:

https://community.icann.org/display/gnsononcomstake/Inactive+members+as+of+21+July+2011

It should be noted that this reflects an answer rate of 84/251 (33.46%) voters and 126/377 (33.42%) possible votes.

             (
              personal aside, I find it remarkable that the
              two ratios came out so close given proportional
              voting based on organizational size or individual status -
              got to be amused by the little things in this job
              or you will go completely bonkers!
              )

Please let me know about any corrections I should make. I apologize in advance for any mistakes I may have made and will do my best to make the corrections quickly. I especially apologize if I neglected to record any response you may have sent.

I will also make additional personal attempts in the next week to reach those I can't reach. If any of you know those on the inactive list, please tell them to get in touch.

As noted in the email I just sent on "Description of Charter approval and Election Process for July-October 2011", proposed scheduling the vote on the charter to begin on 1 Aug until 26 Aug.

thanks

a.

In order to know what 60% of the membership is, I need an accurate count of the active membership. In order to determine active membership, I need to have an accurate email address. Any member for whom I do not have an active working email list will be put on the inactive members list and will not be included in the counting. (Note: An inactive member becomes an active member again by updating their email information.)

Shortly after that I will initiate the approval vote on the charter that has been approved for the NCSG by the ICANN Board, as required by that charter and the charter that the NCSG membership approved and sent to the Board so very long ago.
