We're making a big announcement today, and I thought some on this list would be interested. Please read on below. This means a big transition for me. Unfortunately I am going to take myself off the list in the next few days. While I won't be able to participate further in very active NCUC work, I hope you will reach out when you need support with public engagement around ICANN issues.

Thanks for all the important work you do.

Best,

OneWebDay joins Mozilla Drumbeat

Starting today, OneWebDay has joined with the new Mozilla Drumbeat initiative to provide open web engagement opportunities 365 days a year. Read the announcement post here:

While we will no longer be organizing OneWebDay events on September 22, the effort to protect and expand access to the open web goes on. Through Drumbeat, Mozilla will be supporting the development of several new projects every year and helping people organizing local events. I hope you'll familiarize yourself with these programs and ask questions. We're jut building the initiative - a great time to get involved and help shape it.

You'll see in the announcement post that we are hosting 2 conference calls next week to discuss the transition. I hope you will join us. Also, please feel free to reach out to me to discuss one-on-one.

I would greatly appreciate your help in getting the word out through Twitter, your social networks, and appropriate list servs. Here's a sample tweet:
