Greetings, all...

I wanted to send along the final copies of the letter of petition and charter for the consumers constituency. We took out a lot of the old language that seemed somewhat exclusive of the NCUC and its current work, which unfairly pigeonholed you guys as being focused on free speech, and tried to simplify as much as we could. We are assuming this constituency, if approved by the board, will fit into the NCSG structure or become part of it as we discussed in Mexico.

Please accept this transmission letter and attachments as a formal petition to create a consumer constituency within the GNSO. The attached introductory letter and petition make clear how and why we are doing this. I would like to thank several members of the ICANN community and staff in assisting us in the preparation of these documents, all of whom should be copied on this transmission letter.

I would also ask that you please excuse my lateness. I have had some substantial health problems over the last month, and I am grateful to ICANN staff and community colleagues for working through this inconvenience with me.
