REVISED: NCUC statement on new gTLDs

Concerned about the deadline, I have gone ahead and submitted the
comments. Note also that ICANN, in its increasingly over-bureaucratized
state, has actually created 5 or 6 different comment forums and it
unclear which best fits these comments, so I have submnitted them to two
of them.

Subject: [NCUC-DISCUSS] REVISED: NCUC statement on new gTLDs

Dear all,

Attached is my attempt at contributing to our Constituency Statement on
the new gTLD policy. Please note the following substantive additions and
other changes:

1. Substantive Additions

- I have expanded the section on Morality and Public Order objections
with further references to and comments on the Explanatory Memorandum
that was issued separately from the Draft Applicant Guidebook.

2. Other Changes

- I have moved a couple of sections around (to hopefully aid the "flow"
as more contributions come in) and amended some of the language used.
Please note that I do NOT think my language superior; many of the
language changes I am suggesting are due to my personal discomfort in
using overly-strong or emotive language. I am happy to revert to the
stronger emphasis if the majority feel that would better convey the
point.

My apologies for this late submission; I have tried to be as
comprehensive and useful as I can but I am afraid that with time running
short, have perhaps not done as thorough a job as I would have liked.

Thanks,

Mary
