Latinoamericann.org is a Project of Alfa-Redi. Carolina is member of 
Alfa-Redi (i think is a confussion in the name but i think all understand 
alpha=alfa)

O desnevolvimento da  sociedade da informação depende intimamente da
administração dos recursos da Internet. Esta discussão envolve aspectos
sócio-culturais, econômicos, juridicos e técnicos que deve ser debatidos a
fim de se construir uma política duradoura e  adequada à todas regiões
participantes da Internet.

A solução da problemática da administração de recursos deve ser buscada a
partir da união da sociedade civil, Estado, do setor privado e universidades
que devem debater a respeito dos padrões de interoperalidade, definir quem
deverá administrar os recursos da rede e, ademais, propor políticas
supra-nacionais.

Neste sentido, a região da América Latina demonstra seu interesse de
participação neste processo social que visa a discussão dos recurso da
Internet no âmbito da ICANN e está disposta a discutir aspectos técnicos
para a criação de  políticas normativas adequadas  e duradoras, buscando
contribuir para o futuro da sociedade da informação.

  Justification
The developing of information society depends on the administration of 
Internet resort. The discuss involves social, cultural, economics, 
juridical and technical aspects that should be debating to build a 
political view satisfactory in all regions that people use Internet.

The solution to the problematic with administration of Internet resort has 
to be looked for starting with a union between civil society, State, 
private sector and universities, which have to discuss about standarts and 
defining who will be administrate these resorts. In addition they should 
propose a supranational policy.

In conclusion, Latin America are interesting in participate in the 
discussions about Internet resort in ICANN. Besides that they are prepared 
for debating the technical aspects to the creation of normative political 
to contribute with the future of information society.
