I forwarded Karl's message (his entire message) to the list yesterday

and gave Karl the URL of the archives so he would understand the
context.

Someone had sent Karl a copy of my email commenting on his name being
suggested and I thought it unfair he was not seeing the context.  He
replied to that email (I will forward separately.)

Not sure why Milton missed the first few lines Karl's email, but for
completeness here they are again:
