ICANN releases request for Top-Level Domains proposals

ICANN has posted a new Request for Proposals for sponsored Top-Level Domains. ICANN has not approved any new TLDs since November 2000, when it gave its blessing to 7 top-level domains, including .info, .pro and .museum.
