Nominet, the current operator of Britain's country-code top-level domain,
might soon face a lawsuit over its plans to allow more information about .uk
registrants to be publicly disclosed. Thus, which runs the British Internet
service provider Demon, believes that current national laws may require
Nominet to reach an agreement with registrants before it can publish such
data. The scheme had already been revised due to privacy objections.
